How to Compare Ours to Theirs
We here at WholeFoodFit, want to challenge your thinking with a whole new idea about aging, about Challenging Aging, and the premise that we have to just accept it and its affects. True, we can’t change the fact that it is going to happen, but like a lot of new research in this area, we are going to show you how to adjust how aging is perceived by your body with one simple statement:
“No matter your age, your body will repair itself
If it has the “Quality” protein to do so!”
Come join us as we dig into that statement and help you to understand how WholeFoodFit came to be and why we consider it not only a special gift from mother nature, but also one of the best proteins available on the planet. (We will support that claim with the supporting science later in this product educational message.) We will define quality and what makes one protein better than another in a few more paragraphs. But first…
It all starts with how the body repairs itself. As we mentioned in the video (click here if you did not watch it yet) about aging and its effect on our body’s ability to repair itself. We all know that as we age; we recover slower from our workouts, our hair doesn’t come in as thick as it used to, and our ability to heal from cuts or wounds takes longer than it did in our pre-50’s. Why?
Because as we age, our body’s ability to digest or breakdown the protein we need to recover and repair continues to decline with each aging year and after 50 it becomes even more noticeable. So, while we have come to expect our inability to recover or repair as we age, we never asked ourselves why and how can we counter it. Now we will.
If as we age, we are unable to process or breakdown the protein into the usable components (amino acids and short & long chain peptides), then how can we do that for the body so it can get what it needs to recover and repair. And, just as importantly “Why would we do so?”
Because as we have learned after over 40+ years of working with WholeFoodFit, the problem with aging is not that the body can’t use the peptides and amino acids; it can’t GET them. If it can get them… it will definitely use them to repair and recover. So, to solve this problem, we predigest the protein for you so your body doesn’t have to. Simple really and we are quite amazed no one has ever addressed this issue directly through Quality protein nutrition; and by Quality, we mean Specialized and Efficent protein.
If you stop by your local sporting or nutritional supplement store, you will find shelves of “hydrolyzed protein” (predigested) so the concept of predigesting the protein is not new. But the idea of applying it to aging is, however you must recognize the importance of both what the words Specialized and Efficient mean in the product you are consuming, especially as it relates to aging.
Very Important: Not all hydrolyzed proteins are created equal so what you need is Quality and a way to measure the difference in Quality between various hydrolyzed proteins.
Why Specialized? Well by that we mean the way in which the protein is predigested or hydrolyzed. Some processes involve chemicals and heat and they damage the end product or the peptides and/or amino acids and therefore reduce the quality of the hydrolyzed protein, in some cases, dramatically. Other processes involve filtration methods. So, there are various ways to reach a hydrolyzed state; but, what makes one better than the other? That is where Efficient comes into the picture. In our case, we use a proprietary process which is all natural and requires no heat, chemicals or pressure which can damage our end result.
But what defines Efficent? Now we get into the science of molecular weight or the size of the peptides and amino acids. It is referred to as the Dalton Size. Unfortunately, very few hydrolyzed proteins do the testing on their product to determine and publish on their label the Dalton size but they should so you can have a way to make a favorable comparison.
So why is Daton size important? Because it creates a universal measurement to determine how permeable, absorbable, or bio-available the hydrolyzed protein is to pass through the lining of your stomach and get to where it is needed throughout your body. In this case then, smaller is better because the smaller the Dalton size, the more bio-available the protein is to the body.
A funny side story. We learned about Dalton size through a dear colleague who has her doctorate in Animal Sciences and she described to us the importance of the smaller Dalton size. She identified that the pet food industry has used 10,000 Daltons or smaller as the standard bench mark for any hypoallergenic pet foods because at this level of less than 10,000 Daltons, there is limited or no resistance to the absorption of the protein.
With this knowledge we decided to test our product to determine our Dalton size and what we found was astonishing. (There are only a few labs in the country which can even perform this testing.) Our WholeFoodFit came in with between 11,000 all the way down to 5,000 Daltons. It was this test which helped us understand why we were seeing the incredible results from our users across multiple sports and disciplines. We looked and found very few competitive hydrolyzed proteins in the nutritional stores and on average they were between 32,000 and 24,000 Daltons in size. Again, remember that the smaller the Dalton size the more absorbable or bio-available the hydrolyzed protein is to the body.
This is what makes WholeFoodFit so incredibly Efficent. At the high end (32,000 compared to 11,000) that is a 290% difference and at the low end (24,000 to 5,000) a 480% difference between WholeFoodFit and the competition. Now you see why we say we believe we have the best Quality protein on the planet.
So, the key to Challenging Aging and helping to provide the nutrition the aging body needs comes down to the Quality of the protein you are consuming. This quality also affects your body’s ability to absorb and process other nutrients but more on that in a personal discussion with you one day. We welcome your thoughts and are always open to a discussion of what we have learned over our 40+ years of watching the benefits from WholeFoodFit.
